My Skincare Routine (2026)
Hi friend,
Until I was in my 40s, I kind of destroyed my skin.
Sunburns, poor diet, and no skincare routine.
When I started Blueprint, my skin was in the 98th percentile for damage.
In the past 5 years, I've reversed my skin age by the equivalent of 9 years. Effectively freezing my skin age.
- Age 44, skin age 40
- Age 48, skin age 39
Measured using the clinical gold standard for skin age, including the world's largest database.
Here's what I'm doing and what I wish I'd known earlier in life.
In this email:
- skincare basics
- my daily skincare protocol
- diet and supplementation
- advanced therapies

Skincare basics
This may seem like a long list but they're really all habits that you'll soon forget you're doing:
- be mindful of direct sun exposure when the UV index is high (10 am - 4 pm)
- if in the sun during high UV times, use UV-protective clothing, an umbrella, a hat, and/or mineral sunscreen
- prioritize your sleep (7-9 hours)
- eat a Blueprint-like healthy diet
- avoid junk, fried, highly processed foods
My daily skincare protocol
This is my daily skincare protocol for morning and night: cleanse, hydrate, and keep inflammation and cellular damage at bay.
I use Blueprint cleanser, serum, and moisturizer, featuring SFC, NMN, and hyaluronic acid.
Note: SFC (Disodium Succinoyl Farnesylcysteine) is a novel active shown to outperform niacinamide at improving the look of fine lines and wrinkles. NMN supports the skin barrier and hyaluronic acid retains moisture.
I also use tretinoin nightly.
Diet and supplementation
Here's what I eat for healthy skin:
- collagen peptides
- polyphenols from extra virgin olive oil
- flavanols from cocoa
- antioxidants from berries, veggies, and supplements
- plant protein from lentils, chickpeas, nuts, and protein powder
- fiber from fruits, veggies, and complex carbs
Oral collagen peptides, flavanols, polyphenols, and antioxidant supplementation help the skin resist photoaging and maintain its elasticity:
- average collagen users: showed significantly better skin elasticity than the control group.
- average flavonoid users: showed significantly better skin resistance to UV compared to the control group.
- average polyphenol users (a mix of flavanols and other polyphenols): showed significantly better skin elasticity than the control group.
I also supplement nicotinamide riboside (in Essential Capsules) and hyaluronic acid (in Longevity Mix) daily.
I get all of the above from Blueprint as I know its sourcing, quality, and that it's third-party tested.
My diet is also geared toward eliminating inflammation, oxidative stress, and glycation. All sources of skin damage.
The basics go a long way:
- eat whole foods: fruits, veggies, lean proteins, healthy fats
- avoid junk, fried, highly processed foods
- avoid smoking and vaping
Skin-focused therapies
I do these treatments 1x every 6 months. You can do more or less depending on your goals:
- 1927-nm laser: Improves skin tone, texture, dyschromia (uneven coloring), sun damage, and fine lines.
- 1550-nm laser: Produces new collagen and elastin, leading to improvements in skin firmness, wrinkles, acne scars, and overall structural integrity.
- Sofwave: Non-invasive ultrasound skin tightening system that delivers controlled energy into the mid-dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin production without damaging the skin's surface.
- Everesse: Monopolar RF device that delivers thermal energy to both dermal layers simultaneously, triggering immediate collagen contraction for visible lifting plus sustained fibroblast activation for long-term volumizing and tightening, with no downtime.
On combining these therapies: the 1927-nm and 1550-nm lasers address surface damage and structural integrity respectively; Sofwave and Everesse both stimulate collagen via thermal energy but through different mechanisms (focused ultrasound vs. monopolar RF).
Everesse's dual-depth RF action adds a lifting and volumizing effect the others don't produce, which is why both are worth doing despite the apparent overlap.

Whole-body therapies
- red/nir light panels: I do a daily therapy using full-body panels with 660-nm and 850-nm wavelengths. This therapy offers both localized benefits for skin health (including boosting skin energy and vitality, improving antioxidant defenses, and reversing damage) and aids in muscle recovery from exercise, as well as boosting systemic health, including improving sleep, immunity, and metabolic regulation.
- hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT): This is perhaps the best skin rejuvenation therapy in the world. Data from 60 sessions, 90 minutes each. 20 min oxygen, 5 min off. 5x weekly, 12 weeks:
- 12.8% increase in collagen fiber density
- 144% increase in elastic fiber length
- reduced fragmentation from 90% to 10%
- 40.9% increase in skin blood vessel count
- 84.3% increase in CD31 blood vessel specific marker
- 21% reduction in senescent cells (aged, damaged cells)
- dry sauna: sauna improves skin health by shifting blood flow towards the skin (up to 70%), promoting improved oxygen and nutrient supply, increasing sweating for pore cleansing.
Sauna can dry out your skin. To prevent this, I apply a layer of Blueprint moisturizer before I get in. After sauna, I apply facial serum and moisturizer for continued barrier support.
Note: If you don't have access to these therapies, don't worry. The basics are a great place to start.
Remember:
- eat whole foods and avoid the junk
- avoid chronic UV exposure
- use skincare products that protect your skin and fight aging
Be well, Bryan
